Protecting your privacy is important to us:

FounderLawDocs is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with your personal choices where possible. Only minimal personal and non-personal information is collected, and if it is, we are committed to safeguarding it.

  • Your information will not be shared, rented or sold to any third party outside the terms of this Privacy Policy for any reason, without you providing permission prior thereto.
  • We give you the possibility to control the information that you provided to us (opt-out option).

We have asked, but we cannot force you to read our Privacy Policy and/or Terms of Use, but this is serious and may affect your privacy. If you choose to use FounderLawDocs, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personal information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

NOTICE

It will be clear to you when information that personally identifies you ("personal information") is asked for and you will have the choice to provide it or not (opt-in option). Generally, this information is requested when you purchase a bundle or service, as a necessary condition of service, or in the process of requesting a service.

USAGE

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide you information that will allow you to use our Guide or Incorporation Services
  • To alert you of software upgrades, updates, discounts or other services from FounderLawDocs
  • In limited circumstances, to put you in touch with other service providers who we think can be of service to you
  • To automatically customize your documents with your information, if such feature is available

We collect your email when you sign up or opt in to our newsletter feature in order to send you informational communications about the various legal and business templates, industry trend, other information. We may also communicate with you regarding the document by providing additional information such as their purpose and the best use you can make of them, or explanatory guides and/or related details. We also collect your email to have the option in the future to send you our promotional offers.

We may also collect your name, language, currency, company name, country, phone number, document or bundle or service purchased, service purchased, all for a better experience with FounderLawDocs products.

When you place your order with us, we collect your email and the above-referenced information in order to send the product by email to you. We also collect your phone number in order to contact you in case of a billing issue or if  emails bounce back because of a typo in your email address and if we cannot figure out what the correct email address is. It is however your responsibility to enter your preferred email correctly in order to receive the documents or bundle purchased, as we may not be able to reach you by other means.

We may in rare circumstances try to also contact the phone number that is provided if we suspect that the cardholder’s credit card information has been compromised, i.e used in a fraudulent way.

We may also use our clients’ email in order to notify of the release of updated versions of the software, new services or promotional offers.

The data and information may also be stored for internal sales analytics purposes.

CONSENT

When you provide your personal information, you consent that it may be used for the above purposes and that FounderLawDocs is an authorized holder of such information. If you choose not to provide personal information, you may not be able to purchase our documents or use our services. 

In direct communications from us, you will have the opportunity to unsubscribe from further communications (typically at the bottom of such communication).

SECURITY OF INFORMATION

FounderLawDocs is strongly committed to protecting your information and ensuring that your choices are honored. We have taken strong security measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Only few select few members of our team are able to access user information and each is committed to only use the data for information stated herein. If you want your data deleted, please contact us and we will try our best to do so timely.

All e-commerce transactions are supported by Shopify, and we therefore rely on Shopify’s e-commerce transaction services and tools, but be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 


GDPR - DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS UNDER GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have certain data protection rights. We aim to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your personal data.


For this GDPR section, Personal Data refers to data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely into our possession).


If you wish to be informed what the Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our system, please email us.


In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

  • Right to be informed: organizations must tell individuals what data of theirs is being collected, how it’s being used, how long it will be kept and whether it will be shared with any third parties.
  • Right of access: individuals have the right to request a copy of the information that an organization holds on them.
  • Right of rectification: individuals have the right to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Right to be forgotten: in certain circumstances, individuals can ask organizations to erase any personal data that is stored on them.
  • Right of portability: individuals can request that an organization transfers any data that it holds on them to another company.
  • Right to restrict processing: individuals can request that an organization limits the way it uses personal data.
  • Right to object: individuals have the right to challenge certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.
  • Rights related to automated decision making, including profiling: individuals can ask organizations to provide a copy of its automated processing activities if they believe the data is being processed unlawfully. You should also remind individuals that they are free to exercise their rights and explain how they can do this.

Please note, you are entitled to ask us to provide you with this information up to two times in a rolling twelve-month period. When you make this request, the information provided may be limited to the personal information we collected about you in the previous 12 months.

To delete your personal information: If you make this request, we will delete the personal information we hold about you as of the date of your request from our records and direct any service providers to do the same.

HOW WE HANDLE THE INFORMATION YOU SHARE

Your information is never shared outside the company without your permission, aside from with Shopify for the purposes of effectuating the transactions and in providing website hosting and related services to us, or in select instances with a select few law firms that we may put you in touch with if we believe they can provide complementary services, if you have opted in for this. We will only provide such select law firms with the information required for them to reach out to you (typically through a standard email message) to provide information regarding their service(s). Inside the company, we store as little of your information as possible.

When you download a bundle or sign up for the incorporation services, we may ask you to provide your contact information as well as that of the company you represent or work for, including a valid email address, phone number, name. As stated above, we use this information to send you updates about FounderLawDocs, order confirmations and information about our services. We may also use it to perform the incorporation services if you have signed up for them.  When you purchase or order from us, we ask for your credit card number and billing address and card code. We use this information only to bill you for the product(s) you ordered at that time and it is not stored by us thereafter.

We may on occasion require the help of other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as Shopify, or such as providing registered agent services if you choose our incorporation services. We will only provide such companies with the information required for them to perform these services, which is information quite limited in nature; these service providers are bound by strict privacy policies and are prohibited from using your information for any other purpose (please check their website to check such terms and opt-out on their website as needed).

In very rare instances FounderLawDocs may disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on FounderLawDocs or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of FounderLawDocs; and (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of FounderLawDocs, its website, or the public.

OPT IN AND OUT

We may in the future provide users with the opportunity to opt-in to receiving updates on our products, newsletters and other communications from us. You will have the opportunity to opt-out (if you have opted in previously), by clicking on the link provided in our electronic mailings or by contacting us at the address at the bottom of this page.

Cookies are files with small amounts of data that are commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit, including our own, and are stored on your computer's hard drive.

Our website may use these “cookies” for collection information and to improve our Service. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

PRIVACY OF THOSE UNDER 18

FounderLawDocs does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that such a person has provided us with Personal Data, please email us. We will take immediate steps to delete that information as requested.

APPLICATION OF POLICY LINKED WEBSITES

Our Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected on our website.

The Site contains links to web sites of third parties. FounderLawDocs is not responsible for the actions of these third parties, including their privacy practices and any content posted on their web sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies to learn more about what, why and how they collect and use personal information. FounderLawDocs adheres to industry recognized standards to secure any personal information in our possession, and to secure it from unauthorized access and tampering. However, as is true with all online actions, it is possible that third parties may unlawfully intercept transmissions of personal information, or other users of the Site may misuse or abuse your personal information that they may collect from the Site.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we make changes to our Privacy Policy, we will post these changes in the “Privacy Policy” link on the FounderLawDocs site, so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use your information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify you by email and receive your permission prior to taking action. 

Again, we may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page each time you use the site, for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Such Privacy Policy changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.

ENFORCEMENT OF THE POLICY

If for some reason you believe FounderLawDocs has not adhered to these principles, please notify us and we will do our best to promptly make corrections.
